Wash Doctor is a local, family-owned laundry service operated as a Doctor Electrical Services Inc. company. Our service is built around clear expectations, careful garment handling, respectful home access, order separation and documented quality checks—so you know what to expect before, during and after every visit.
We confirm your service, timing, price basis, products, preferences and any special instructions.
We sort carefully, follow care labels and your instructions, protect your home or order, and pause when something needs approval.
Before we finish, we review the completed laundry, folding, dryness, special items and the agreed scope.
We reconcile the order, confirm the final charge, return or secure your items, and explain how to contact us with a concern.
Wash Doctor provides two forms of laundry help: in-home laundry care using your washer and dryer, and pickup wash & fold with return delivery. We are a local, family-owned Doctor Electrical Services Inc. company built around professional procedures, clear communication and respectful customer care.
Our current local service area includes Stanwood, Camano Island, Arlington, Marysville, Mount Vernon and Burlington. Route availability can vary by day, so we confirm your address and appointment window before the service is finalized.
Choose in-home service when you want the laundry completed in your own machines and kept in your home. Choose pickup wash & fold when convenience is the priority and you want us to collect, process, fold and return the order for you.
In-home service is currently $68/hour with a 2-hour minimum, or $65/hour for recurring weekly or biweekly service. Customer-supplied detergent has no added charge; Wash Doctor standard or fragrance-free detergent is +$4 per service hour for in-home service. Pickup wash & fold is $3.25/lb plus the displayed pickup/return fee, with a $125 minimum; standard or fragrance-free detergent is included in pickup pricing. Pickup rush return is +$15 per order when available, and oversized/heavy items are +$8 each in addition to their weight. Your final scope and price are confirmed before service.
We confirm the price basis, minimums and requested scope before work begins. If the actual condition, time, weight or requested work would materially change the price, we pause, explain the change and get your authorization before continuing. You will not be expected to approve an unexplained scope change.
We first confirm the service and your preferences, then visually check the laundry area and machines for ordinary safe use. We sort by your directions, care labels, fabric and color considerations; confirm detergent, water temperature, drying method and special instructions; wash, dry and fold; then review the completed scope and leave the laundry area in the agreed condition.
Either. For in-home service you can use your own detergent at no added charge, or select Wash Doctor standard or fragrance-free detergent at +$4 per service hour. For pickup wash & fold, Wash Doctor standard or fragrance-free detergent is included in the pickup pricing, and customer-supplied detergent is also accepted when arranged. Fabric softener is available by request.
Tell us about special items when you book. We follow the garment care label, your documented preferences and the most protective safe instruction. Stains are inspected before drying when appropriate because heat can set some stains. If an item should be air-dried, deferred or handled differently, we will follow the label or contact you when authorization is needed. Specific stain removal cannot be guaranteed.
When pocket checking is authorized, found items are kept in a labeled, protected place and returned to you. Valuables, unusual items or hazards are documented only as much as needed to protect the customer and the order.
Wash Doctor is a laundry service, not an appliance-repair service. If we see a leak, smoke, sparking, overheating, an unsafe outlet, an unstable machine or another condition that prevents normal safe use, we stop the affected work and notify you. We do not bypass safety devices or repair plumbing, electrical or appliance parts as part of the laundry appointment.
Please make sure pets and the work area can be safely controlled before service. Entry or access arrangements must be authorized in advance. We use only the access information needed to perform the service and do not treat home-entry instructions as general-purpose information.
Your pickup order is assigned to you, bagged or sealed and tracked through pickup, transport, processing, finishing and return. We record the order handoffs and reconcile the bags or order before delivery is closed. Standard return is generally 48–72 hours, subject to the confirmed appointment and any special-care requirements.
No. Customer orders are kept separated. Pickup orders use order identification and custody controls so your household's laundry remains identifiable throughout the service.
Pickup orders are processed at an approved lawful, insured commercial laundry facility or laundromat using Wash Doctor order-separation and custody procedures. Pickup orders are not processed at an owner's, worker's or contractor's residence.
Yes, when an unattended method is specifically chosen and the location is reasonably secure and lawful. We confirm the location and delivery authority in advance. Any proof photo is limited to what is needed to document the handoff and is not supposed to capture faces, home interiors, access codes, license plates or unnecessary neighboring property.
For safety, we may decline items involving blood or body fluids, sharps or medical waste, fuels or solvents, pesticides or unknown chemicals, active mold or fire residue, active bedbug/flea/lice infestation, illegal substances or other unsafe contamination. Pickup oversized/heavy items are +$8 each in addition to their weight. Unusual or specialty items that cannot be safely handled under standard laundry procedures are reviewed before acceptance.
We collect the information needed to book, perform, bill and support the service. Access instructions are treated as restricted information. Photos, when needed, are narrowly framed around the relevant item, order condition or delivery location. We do not need broad photos of your home, and full payment-card details should not be stored in service notes.
Please contact us within 48 hours and tell us which item or load is affected. For an in-scope quality issue, Wash Doctor offers a reasonable rewash or reperformance path when it is safe, permitted by the care label and the item has not already been altered by another process. We document the concern and resolution instead of asking you to debate it at the door.
Missing-item, damage, contamination, property, privacy and payment concerns are handled through a separate documented claim or incident process rather than being treated as an ordinary rewash. We secure the order information, review the relevant custody or service records, give you a factual update and work toward a documented resolution.
We document service-relevant preferences such as detergent, wash/dry temperature, folding instructions, special-care notes and approved access or delivery instructions. The goal is consistent service without collecting unnecessary personal information.
Yes. Weekly and biweekly in-home service are available at the current recurring rate shown on this page. Recurring service is intended to make the routine predictable while still allowing you to update products, folding preferences, timing or other instructions when needed.
